Waratah Fibres specialises in hand dying English and Australian fibres and yarns for all textile artists. Using various dye techniques, Lustrous Wensleydale Yarn and Tops, Bluefaced Leicester Tops and 4ply White-Faced Woodland Sock Yarn, are dyed in small batches to create unique colours. Australian 8ply Yarn is hand painted in 12 repeatable colours, including Tropical Birds, Gumnut Serenade, Parakeets and Tuliptime. 

Australian Polwarth and Merino are hand dyed.
We also like to source other yarns like Fine Merino Boucle and Slub Yarns from New Zealand for hand dyeing in unique colours. As well as unique hand dyed yarns from other Fibre Artists. A small range of spinning and knitting accessories are also available, including handcrafted spinning hooks, beaded stitch markers and spindles.

About Helen - Let me introduce myself. For about 8 years I had a small business in the U.K. where I specialised in importing dyes and fibres from Australia and the U.S.A. I have now returned home to Australia and hope to introduce you to some of the English fibres and yarns that I came to love during my time in the U.K. My aim is colour and I  would like to introduce you to the colourful world of my unique hand painted and hand dyed fibres and yarns.
